Loving others the way Jesus Loves us
LOVE LIKE HE LOVED US
"A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. By this all people will know that you are my disciples if you have love for one another."
John 13:34-35 (ESV)

Good Day, Ed!
Imagine Jesus, the One who knows us best, gathering His disciples close. His words aren’t heavy with rules or tangled in expectations. They’re simple, alive: “Love one another, just as I have loved you.” That’s the heartbeat of it all. Back in Deuteronomy, He asked us to love God with everything—heart, mind, soul, and strength. Now, He’s inviting us to share that love with the people around us. And when we do, something beautiful happens—others see Him in us.
So, what’s holding us back? What dims that love? Maybe it’s fear—of being unseen, of giving without getting. Our human love often comes with a catch, a quiet hope for something in return. But God’s love is different. It flows freely, not because we’ve earned it, but because He poured it into us first. “We love because He first loved us,” John whispers, and there’s the secret. It’s not about our strength—it’s the Holy Spirit moving through us, lighting the way.
Think of someone who’s loved you like that. Not perfectly, maybe, but with a kindness that felt like Jesus. I’ve met a few along the way—people who didn’t worry about what others thought, who reached out even when it was hard. They weren’t trying to prove anything; they were just resting in the Father’s love. Jesus lived that way, too. Wrapped in His Father’s care, He loved without limits—all the way to the end. That love still stands, unshaken.
Are you wondering about your calling, Beloved? It’s closer than you think. Ask yourself, “How can I love better today?” That’s the path He’s laid out for you. Not loud or flashy, but real—offering grace to the one who doesn’t expect it, listening when it’s easier to turn away. It’s the kind of love that changes things, quiet and steady, one heart at a time.
Let Us Pray:
Father, I’m here, wanting to love You and those around me the way You’ve loved me—fully, freely, no strings attached. Thank You for seeing me at my worst and loving me still. Show me how to love my neighbors, my family, even the hard-to-love, with that same open heart. Free me from caring too much about what others think—let me live in Your love, for Your Kingdom’s sake. In Jesus’ name, Amen!

Your coaching and ministry to my son and me has healed a 30-year wound. My dad never taught me how to be a father, and never blessed me in my life. My son and I, for the first time, have forgiven each other. It has been one of the most powerful things I have experienced in my life.
